Skylet

Apps that are
built to perform

We are a software studio from Germany. We build mobile, TV and web applications - and the backend and admin panel that keep them running long after launch.

A small studio that ships

Skylet is a German software company. We take products from the first sketch to the store listing and stay with them afterwards - releases, support, the parts nobody puts on a landing page. Our own apps are live in the Google Play Store, which means we run into the same review rules, billing edge cases and device quirks as your project will.

iOS & Android

One app, both platforms - or one platform done properly. We advise on which of the two actually pays off for your case before writing a line of code.

Apps for the TV

Android TV and Fire TV are their own craft: everything has to work with a five-key remote, and nothing may trap the user in a dead end. We have shipped this and know where it hurts.

Backend & data

Accounts, sync across devices, subscriptions, push. Built so that access rules live in the database rather than in whichever client happens to ask.

The admin panel

An app is only half the product. The other half is the panel you use every day: users, subscriptions, numbers that add up, support in one inbox.

Dustin Friese

Founder & developer

Skylet is small on purpose. You talk to the person who writes the code - no account manager in between, no hand-over to someone who was not in the first conversation.

Before Skylet I built the Muv0 apps: three IPTV players and a universal TV remote, all of them shipped, maintained and supported by me. That is the same work your project would get.

What we have shipped

Three IPTV players under our own brand Muv0 - phone, tablet and television, with accounts, subscriptions and a web portal behind them. Live in the Google Play Store, so you can judge the result yourself instead of taking our word for it.

What app development costs

Every project is different, so nobody can quote one from a website. But you should be able to tell within a minute whether we are in the same ballpark - so here are the ranges our work usually falls into.

These are guide values, not an offer. What your project costs depends on what it has to do - after a short conversation you get a written quote with a fixed scope. Prices exclude VAT. Ask and find out.

How we work: five steps, no surprises

You are spending real money on something you cannot see yet. So here is the whole path before you take the first step.

Your enquiry

Write down what the app should do and for whom. Rough is fine - that is what the next step is for.

A conversation

Half an hour, by phone or video. We ask the awkward questions early: who uses this, what happens when it fails, what can wait for version two. Free, and without obligation.

A written quote

Fixed scope, fixed price where that makes sense, with a date. It also says what is not included - that is the part that causes arguments later.

Building it

You get something to look at every one to two weeks, not a surprise at the end. Course corrections are cheap early and expensive late.

Handover

Store submission, source code, documentation - the app is yours. Maintenance afterwards is optional, not a leash.

Tell us what you have in mind

An idea on a napkin is enough to start with. Write down what the app should do and for whom - we will come back with an honest assessment of effort, timeline and what we would leave out.

  • A reply within one business day.
  • Non-binding - the enquiry is not an order.
  • If we are the wrong fit, we will say so.
